Reviews / Hotel

While Cork city features several fine accommodation options, few achieve the high level of service, comfort and convenience The Kingsley Hotel offers. Encompassing a perfect blend of traditional and contemporary, the 4-star hotel features modern aesthetics and contemporary amenities as well as traditional Irish charm and hospitality.

When you enter the hotel, the lobby is flooded with natural light from floor-to-ceiling windows that offer views of Cork’s iconic River Lee.

The hotel’s world-class spa and health club offers a thermalsSpa and outdoor jacuzzi that overlooks the River Lee. The rooms were spacious and exceptionally comfortable with warm color tones and lush bedding. The bathrooms feature large soaker tubs and rain showers. The junior suites offer the same luxuries and amenities as the regular rooms, but with stunning views of the river and king-sized beds.

For a traditional yet contemporary Irish meal, visit the hotel’s casual Springboard Restaurant or Fairbanks, a sophisticated, elegant dining option. The K Lounge is a relaxed lobby venue, perfect for grabbing a cup of coffee or light lunch. The hotel also offers Afternoon Tea, an Irish tradition complete with fine teas, finger sandwiches and freshly baked scones, cakes and pastries. Another hotel highlight is Fisher’s Bar, a classic Irish pub with a cozy intimate setting in which to enjoy a local Cork stout, craft ciders or premier whiskey.

Cork is the second-largest city in the Republic of Ireland, home to numerous historical landmarks such as University College Cork and St. Fin Barre’s Cathedral. The city is also surrounded by some of the country’s most beautiful natural landscapes. The Kingsley is ideally situated to enjoy all Cork has to offer, with convenient transportation into the city center and to Cork’s coastal towns of Kinsale and Cobh.

A hotel concierge is available 24 hours a day in the lobby to make personalized recommendations for dining, sight seeing and activities and will also coordinate transportation and reservations.

The hotel is apparently particularly charming at Christmas time with lavish festive décor, special holiday menus and live performances.
