Philadelphia is a rising foodie city, placing on nationwide culinary lists. Why not start your day off right by having brunch in the City of Brotherly Love?

Alla Spina

Restaurateur Marc Vetri’s Italian gastropub serves up a bold brunch. Items like pigs head hash poutine and chorizo and octopus baked eggs keep adventurous foodies coming back for more. Cocktails are available as well as fresh-squeezed juices and coffee. Brunch is served Sundays from 10 a.m.–3 p.m.

Green Eggs Café

The popular brunch eatery focuses on the best seasonal ingredients. Expect to see new menu items often. Green Eggs Café has something for everyone: sandwiches, skillets, salads, eggs, benedicts and sweet dishes. The Kitchen Sink skillet and the Red Velvet pancakes are among the signature items. There are currently three locations: South Philadelphia, Northern Liberties and Midtown Village.

North Third

Located in the hip Northern Liberties neighborhood, North Third brings bar food to brunch with items like wings and sandwiches. Favorites including eggs benedict and omelets are menu staples. The brioche French toast is a standout, whether or not you have a sweet tooth. Brunch is served Saturdays and Sundays 10 a.m.–3:30 p.m.

Pub & Kitchen

Boasting one of the best Bloody Marys in the city, this Rittenhouse Square eatery offers a sophisticated and contemporary brunch. Start your meal with a pub snack like deviled eggs. Pub & Kitchen puts a spin on the classics including smoked duck benedict and arctic char tartine. Brunch is available on Saturdays 11 a.m.–3 p.m. and Sundays 10 a.m.–3 p.m.

Sabrina’s

With locations in University City, Fairmount and the Italian Market, Sabrina’s is a brunch favorite amongst locals and tourists. The extensive menu is vegetarian and vegan friendly. In addition to its standard breakfast menu, Sabrina’s offers themed brunch menus — Breaking Bad, Down the Shore and Girl Bands, for example. Coffee comes in mismatched mugs, for a personal at-home feel. Hours vary by location. Reservations are not accepted.
