Americans love Halloween. The holiday becomes increasingly popular each year and now entire towns get into the holiday spirit. These towns offer pumpkin displays and festive parades to celebrate the day.

Sleepy Hollow, N.Y.

This location was made famous by author Washington Irving. His novel brought to life the legend of the Headless Horseman. Today, the town honors its fame by celebrating Halloween. They town makes itself over for the Great Jack-‘O- Lantern Blaze every year. Philipsburg Manor transforms into a haunted trail with costumed actors, special effects and candlelit décor. There are also hayrides, lantern-lit cemetery tours and puppet shows.

Ceredo and Kenova, W. Va.

These two towns team up every year to host the C-K Autumn Festival. This massive festival is not to be missed by fans of autumn. There are bake-offs, various parades and many of the homes are decorated. The best part of this two-day celebration is the thousands of hand-carved jack-‘o-lanterns sitting at Pumpkin House.

Laconia, N.H.

Pumpkin fans rejoice! This is the festival of your dreams. Each year more than 40,000 people journey to this town during the Halloween season. There is a pumpkin cooking competition, a costume parade and a pumpkin dump derby. The derby gives contestants a set amount of time to dump as many pumpkins into a dumpster as possible. The best part of festival is the 20,000-plus jack-‘o-lanterns used to try and reclaim the Guinness World Record each year.

Platform Helps Remote Workers, Business Travelers Find Work-Friendly Hotels

If you’ve ever attempted to work on the go — not necessarily for a business trip, but just because your job offers the flexibility of remote working — you may have struggled with working from your hotel room.
