Asian Budget Airlines Form Value Alliance

Traveling to Asia on a budget this year? Passengers who plan to do so are in luck, as eight Asia Pacific-based budget airlines formed the new Value Alliance, enabling passengers to book flights from any of the eight airlines in a single transaction. The participating airlines include Cebu Pacific, Jeju Air, Nok Air, NokScoot, Scoot, Tigerair Singapore, Tigerair Australia and Vanilla Air.

The airlines have Air Black Box to thank for the new capabilities, which enables passengers to book everything from seat selections to in-flight amenities, from different airlines all at once. Together, the airlines reach 160 destinations, traveling as far as Guam and the Middle East. Bases will be located in Singapore, Thailand, South Korea, Japan, the Philippines and Australia.

Representatives of the airline expressed their satisfaction with the new collaboration, stating passengers will now have even more destination options, all in one place, enjoying the budget prices passengers have come to expect.
