Rio de Janeiro is one of the most beautiful cities in the world. It is filled with incredible views, beaches and a lot of nature. Here are a few reasons to visit.


Visit the Christ the Redeemer statue. It is a gigantic statue that draws millions of tourists each year. It is one of the Seven Wonders of the World, was completed in 2001 and became a wonder in 2007. It is a beloved figure by Brazilians and Christians across the world. It also provides a beautiful view of the city below.


Entertainment is a big part of the local culture. Be sure not to miss the music and dance. Hip hop is a big part of the culture, they also make a lot of samba and Brazilian rock music. The rhythmic music is bound to get your hips and feet moving.


Visit the beautiful Ipanema beach in Rio de Janeiro while you’re there. Ipanema was popularized by the song “The Girl from Ipanema” in 1963. Seek out a natural waterfall in the forests. Visit the Copacabana neighborhood. You can visit the beaches, and climb Morro de Leme to get a good view of the Copacabana neighborhood and the city.


Portuguese is a romance language. Be sure to listen to the locals speak and fall in love with their words and cadence.


The city also has a thriving nightlife, especially during carnival season. There are a variety of nightclubs and bars for travelers, and they also have an active nightlife.
