Montreal, Ottawa, Toronto and Vancouver are known as welcoming cities for LGBTQ+ individuals. These cities have special LGBTQ+ neighborhoods and organizations. Various legal protections have been in place since the 1960s in Canada, with same-sex marriage considered legal since 2005.
Head to Greece, specifically the Greek islands for your honeymoon. The country is one of the more liberal in Europe and same-sex unions have been legally recognized since 2015. The Greek islands, including Santorini and Mykonos, offer luxurious resorts and picturesque natural landscapes.
New Zealand began recognizing civil unions in 2004 and same-sex marriage in 2013, contributing to its position as the most liberal country in that region of the world. The country features natural beauty and cultural attractions, making it a perfect destination for a honeymoon.
The California city is known for its contributions to LGBTQ+ rights in the United States. San Francisco is home to many community centers and other organizations celebrating LGBTQ+ culture. There are numerous annual events and festivals, too.
