If you’ve ever tried to make a bed out of the seats at the airport, then Napcabs were designed with you in mind. The idea behind them is to offer a morecomfortable and pleasant stay while you’re waiting for your flight.
The Napcab sleeping cabins provide a private hideaway from the noise and hustle and bustle of an airport, and enable travelers to relax and re-energize. Taking up only four square meters of space, the premium cabins are designed to meet the challenges and demands of high-security transit zones.
Inside you’ll find a bed, real bed linens, luggage storage, Internet access, a small workspace, an iPod dock and music and videos. There’s even air conditioning and an alarm clock to wake you up for your flight. Simply walk up and swipe your credit card on a touchscreen to enter your own private oasis. Rates are about $12–18 an hour, with a $35 minimum. Leaving and reentering the cabin for short-term exit is possible, and after each use, cleaning staff is automatically notified to tidy up the cabin and to make the bed with fresh linens.
Booking, check-in and check-out are instant and easy via the touchscreen on the front of the cabin by swiping a credit card. Napcabs have been successfully introduced at Munich Airport and have already proven their functionality with top ratings in customer-satisfaction surveys. Located in departure and transit areas, passengers can rent some privacy, and make themselves feel at home between flights.
