Outdoor pro-athlete Gillian Gibree brought SUP yoga, a practice combining yoga and stand-up paddle-boarding, to the mainstream, offering beginner, intermediate and advanced classes taught around the world. Her Paddle Into Fitness program is a certification class that focuses on technique and water safety training.
Gibree recently launched the first-ever SUP yoga inflated board, designed to easily travel. The travel yoga board is inflatable, allowing it to be checked in for flights at $25. Hard boards can run $200–300 round-trip, and some airlines won’t accept them. Gibree’s board rolls up into a backpack that comes with the board, and includes a pump and repair kit. The product offers enough volume to keep users dry during SUP yoga, but also the perfect dimensions to paddle efficiently and track well.
Other features of the board include a built-in deck pad and numerous straps, a bungy system to hold clothing or clip-on water bottles and numerous D-rings for different anchors and clip-ins.
The Travel SUP Yoga Inflatable Board will be available at 404 distributors worldwide and can be mailed from anywhere.
