Whether we choose to admit it, most of us devised some sort of mental bucket list with places or sights we long to visit or see before we die. Oftentimes, the list is hidden away and only reemerges if the opportunity for travel presents itself. We tell ourselves that we will do it … one day. Enter the Itch List, a new app that moves one day from faraway to the near future.

Creating an Itch List account is the first step, after which you can create your own list of experiences you wish to pursue. Begin by selecting broad interests such as sports and adventure; eat and drink; or giving back. Add a personalized itch or select from other itches. Upload a photo to this itch and set a timeline for scratching, anywhere from two months to nine years. Your itch will appear on your wall, along with itches from other users.

Browse other users’ lists for inspiration and check out their progress toward their goals by clicking through the trending itches. If you see an itch that matches your interest, you can add it to your account, chat with the user about their plans and progress and even cheer them on by clicking the Cheer button.

If you come across an activity you have already done or a place you have already visited, click Scratch to share more details about your experience and offer advice to other users who hope to accomplish the same feat. With a Scratch Book of accumulated experiences and adventures, your bucket list will suddenly seem a lot shorter.
