Under $100 / North America

Williamsburg is one of the more sought-after neighborhoods in Brooklyn, New York. It is home to lots of young people and houses trendy cafés, repurposed factories and a great nightlife. Here’s how you can spend $100 or less exploring this section of Brooklyn.

Head to Cafe Mogador to enjoy Moroccan cuisine for breakfast. You can get your choice of sandwich with tea, coffee or orange juice for $15.

The next stop is the Brooklyn Brewery for two hours and learn about the brewing process of beers. Learn how they are made and stored. At the end of the tour, you get to enjoy a few pints of beer. ($18)

Your spot for lunch is the Counting Room. Order the adobado pulled pork (homemade roasted pork, cole slaw, fontina, garlic herb butter), your choice of side and a drink ($20).

The Museum of Food and Drink Lab is your next stop ($14). This is a museum that has edible displays. Visitors can make their way through the museum while learning about the foods and drinks they see.

New York has such a rich history, and to learn more about it, you’ll have to head to The City Reliquary Museum. This stop is where you’ll find the history of New York’s five boroughs. Fun fact: This museum began as a window display at a Williamsburg resident’s home.

Head to the Williamsburg Art and Historical Center. It displays a diverse amount of artistic expressions. The museum usually has a few collections on display throughout the year, and sometimes events that might be of interest to you. Check the website while planning.

Dinner is at Fette Sau. Black Angus beef brisket is slow-smoked in house and coated with the house-made dry rub blend. For $15, this should be your dinner order.

End the night with a stroll in Domino Park and people-watch along the East River.
