One of the most nerve-wracking aspects of traveling happens just after you have arrived at your destination. You successfully de-board the plane, find your way to baggage claim then wait with dozens of other anxious travelers, wondering if and hoping your luggage will come rolling around on the conveyor belt, nervously refreshing the baggage tracking app on your smartphone. In the worst-case scenario, you’re left standing with maybe one other unlucky traveler, watching unclaimed bags make their laps and absolutely dreading a visit to the “lost luggage” counter.
What if there was a way to skip all of these anxiety-inducing steps that can severely cut into your long-awaited vacation time? With a company called Unicobag, it’s possible to check a bag, take a flight and then receive your luggage at your temporary accommodation or at home.
Instead of tracking your bags using an airline-provided tracking app, Unicobag has its own bag-and-driver tracking capabilities. The driver will collect your bags at the airport, saving you the hassle and stress of wondering whether your bags will make the flight with you.
Unicobag’s service is currently available at four major U.S. airports: Los Angeles International, Chicago O’Hare International, San Francisco International and Washington Dulles International. On Unicobag’s website, enter your airport followed by the delivery address, powered by Google Maps. Then enter your personal information, flight information and bag specifics, plus the date and time you would like your bags to be delivered. Prices vary based on the amount of luggage and distance traveled by the driver, but it’s safe to say the saved stress is worth every penny.
