While spring break might look vastly different this year than anticipated as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, it’s not too early to start planning to do some good with your time next spring break. Consider doing volunteer work over spring break 2021.

There are many reasons to volunteer. It can help boost your resume when applying for future jobs and internships. Employers will see your work as a contribution to the betterment of society. You can also participate in volunteer work because it is for a cause about which you are passionate.

There are a few organizations welcoming to students. Examples include Habitat for Humanity and the Sea Turtle Conservancy. Many other organizations can be found here.

You can also volunteer at local hospitals and spend time with the children, senior citizens or long-term-care patients. If you prefer a more administrative role, reach out to the department of your choosing.
