Park City is known as a winter paradise for skiers and snowboarders. Non-skiers and -boarders may not have an opportunity to enjoy the pleasures of going down the slopes; however, there are so many other attractions available to those who like to take their fun off the mountain.

 

Olympic Park

Olympic Park remains one of the bigger local attractions, where you can climb to the top of the ski jump, get on a bobsled and even go through a ropes course. You can also check out a lot of the 2002 U.S. Winter Olympics memorabilia at the Olympic Park Museum.

 

Park City Historic District

Take a trip back in time by visiting Park City Historic District and taking a ride on the Heber Valley Railroad. This quaint part of Park City takes you back to the early 1800s and makes you appreciate the history and development of the region thought the centuries.

 

Horseback Riding and Dog Sledding

Horseback riding and dog sledding are great activities for animal enthusiasts. Both of these activities are great in the snow but are also available year-round. Who wouldn’t want to spend the day playing with puppies and taking in the beautiful scenery on horseback?

 

Ski Touring and Horseshoeing

Ski touring and horseshoeing are winter activities off the slopes that still give you a taste of the exploring the mountain and trails. Get a workout while doing them. The fun activities will leave you lighter by a couple hundred calories.

Visiting distilleries, breweries and local restaurants is a great way to experience the local scene. There are so many great places to get food in Park City and food tours are a popular activity among those who love to eat.
