To create a space leaving guests feeling relaxed and renewed, Canopy by Hilton Washington D.C. Bethesda North recently unveiled the Green Room. The room allows guests to enjoy the holistic benefits of plant life while traveling.

Canopy Bethesda partnered with REWILD, a plant and flower studio with locations in Washington, D.C., and Arlington, Virginia, to bring this concept to life. The Green Room features strategically curated plants aimed at delighting the guests’ senses, from aromatic herbs to air plants to preserved moss wall art. The plants also inspire would-be gardeners and those looking for their next Instagram-worthy photo.
The bed in the Green Room features delicate air plants anchored to the headboard, while the neighboring nightstand includes lavender to create a restful sleep environment. Moisture-absorbing moss and hanging vines adorn the bathroom, and the shower includes hanging eucalyptus for an invigorating scent. Around the wardrobe, guests find fairy-lit vines upon entering the room, as well as both sun-loving potted and hanging plants throughout the room and beside the room’s floor-to-ceiling window. At the end of their stay, guests are encouraged to bring a low-maintenance succulent home with them.

Separated into four vignettes, the Green Room reduces stress, improves moods, freshens the air and boosts productivity. In addition to a coffee and tea bar, the Green Room boasts an herbal garden comprised of rosemary, sage and basil, all of which reduce inflammation and await guests wanting to trim them and add them to tea or cocktails.
For $15, guests can request sing-serve cocktail kits from the hotel restaurant’s mixologists. Guests choose their desired spirit upon booking and mixologists provide ideas on concocting the perfect herbal-spirit pairing, such as rosemary with bourbon or gin with basil.

Those wanting to get further involved with REWILD can attend some of its educational workshops at the hotel, from wreath making to a terrarium-building workshop.

United Continues Its Global Expansion
United Airlines keeps soaring to new heights, recently announcing another expansion of its leading global route network. The airline added new non-stop flights between Newark (EWR) and Marrakesh (RAK), Morocco; Tokyo (NRT) and Cebu (CEB), Philippines; and Houston (IAH) and Medellin (MDE), Colombia.
