Cakeshop
This former strip club is now a great all-round club in Itaewon. The music spans the entire range of club music, drawing a young crowd Thursday to Sunday.

Faust
There aren’t many rooftop bars in Seoul, so Faust is a precious venue on Fridays and Saturdays. International and local artists perform in a space with superb acoustics and a Kirsch Audio sound system.

Octagon
The mega club scene is slowly dying down, but Octagon continues to thrive as it carves out a niche for hip-hop in a former EDM club. The weekends are absolutely packed but locals tend to enjoy “Mok-tagon” Thurdsays.

Every club city needs a grungy techno venue, with Seoul’s being vurt. The underground bunker is located in an alley near Hapjeong station, open just three or four times a month with a balance of high-profile techno DJs and local talent.

MYSTIK
Simiar to vurt., but a little nicer, MYSTIK has minimalist decor, dark lighting and a beautiful Funktion One sound system pumping out house and techno music.

Brown
This is the wildcard of the bunch, a small, quirky venue that has eclectic taste in music for when you’re tired of the club sound. The doors close at 6 a.m. so Brown is best enjoyed as the last stop of the night.
