Trade in the treadmill this summer for a scenic train run with North Face just outside major metropolises across North America.
The North Face Endurance Challenge Series offers immersive nature runs for runners of all skill levels, with upcoming locations this summer in Ontario, Park City, Madison and San Francisco.
Fitness enthusiasts can choose from seven race distances at each Endurance Challenge, ranging from a casual 5K to a diehard 50-miler. Events take racers through picturesque backcountry; for example, on the racecourse at Park City Mountain Resort, athletes navigate the world-renowned ski destination using a variety of double- and single-track trail, ski runs, mountain bike trains and dirt access roads along the Wasatch Back part of the Wasatch Mountain Range.
All registered participants receive nutrition and hydration support at the start/finish area, a technical shirt, a finish medal and a bib and timing tag as well as perks depending on the distance ran, such as a hot meal.
Prices start from $30 for the 5K; $40 for the 10K; $65 for the half marathon; $150 for the marathon relay; $75 for the marathon; $80 for the 50K; and $90 for the 50 mile.
Get outdoors this summer and be sure to bring your lungs and legs.
