Philadelphia is arguably one of the most popular and active cities in the sports world. The city has at least 14 sports teams, not including the variety of university teams in the city. The sports spirit is alive in the town and can be experienced any time there is a sporting event with a Philadelphia team playing.
The most popular teams in the city are the Philadelphia Eagles, Phillies, Flyers and 76ers for football, baseball, hockey and basketball, respectively. The teams work hard because of the undeniable passion and high expectations the fans have. The fans aren’t afraid to scold the players to the point where they’ve been called and voted the worst in America. They’ve booed Santa Claus in the past, players have been criticized on live television and others have been booed.
Game nights are events in Philadelphia. Bars, pubs and clubs are flooded with hopeful fans. They banter with each other and shout at the TVs. Fans are loud and passionate about every game, and you can experience every feeling in your surroundings to make you a fan.
In 2018, the Philadelphia Eagles won the Super Bowl. That night and the day of the parade, the streets were flooded with fans. People flew into the city to celebrate the team’s victory. The streets were swarming with Eagles green, buildings were closed for the parade and the spirit of the win was enough to create warmth on that cold February morning. This was a long-awaited win for the city and Eagles fans, and the spirited happiness lives on in the city.
The dedication and passion of the fans alone makes the city the ultimate sports city in America.

United Continues Its Global Expansion
United Airlines keeps soaring to new heights, recently announcing another expansion of its leading global route network. The airline added new non-stop flights between Newark (EWR) and Marrakesh (RAK), Morocco; Tokyo (NRT) and Cebu (CEB), Philippines; and Houston (IAH) and Medellin (MDE), Colombia.
