Situated just 18 miles from the northwest border of Yellowstone and a 40-minute drive from Bozeman Airport, Lone Mountain Ranch lies within a range of rivers, grasslands and the Montana Rockies. Guests at the hotel can go horseback riding, enjoy year-round fly fishing and enjoy all-access tours of Yellowstone Park with lodge naturalists. In the winter months, head next door to ski the more than 80 miles of world-class Nordic trails. Through the end of March, guests can go dogsledding, snowshoeing, backcountry skiing and downhill skiing.

In the summer months, the ranch offers activities like canoeing, paddle boarding, yoga, hiking, mountain biking, archery, axe throwing and more.
The hotel features 27 one- to six-bedroom log cabins, as well as five pairs of adjoining cabins for families and groups. All cabins were renovated in 2016 to provide top-notch amenities for guests. Each cabin comes with an in-room record player and coffee service.

For dinner, enjoy an array of options, from Horn & Cantle, which serves locally sourced, farm-to-table menus, to sleigh ride dinners to an oil-lantern-lit cabin for a family-style prime rib dinner. For drinks, head to The Lytle Bar for some craft cocktails.
