Top 5 / Europe

Amsterdam has no shortage of amazing places to eat. Whether you want to wine and dine on traditional Dutch cuisine or are in the mood for something international, the city has you covered. Here are the five spots you should definitely try while you’re in town.

Vinkeles

The Michelin-starred Vinkeles offers a wonderfully upscale dining experience with unique food and presentation by Chef Dennis Kuiper. The extensive wine list pairs nicely with the French cuisine and there’s probably no better place in the city to go for seafood.

Gartine

For a traditional Dutch breakfast look no further than Gartine, a local hotspot that is something of a hole in the wall next to the Amsterdam Museum. It’s tough to find, and you should book in advance in you want to get in, but the eggs benedict is to die for. They also offer tea time in the late afternoon.

Zaza’s

Friendly, upbeat service and tasty treats are what make Zaza’s shine. This classy establishment is more affordable than the décor might suggest and their four-course meals are some of the best in the city. We recommend the goat’s cheese tart, lemon sorbet, filet of lamb and the white chocolate panna cotta for dessert.

Jacketz Oud-West

Locals flock to Jacketz for both the quirky concept and delectable food; it’s the first baked potato shop on the European mainland, according to their website, and here you’ll find potatoes stuffed with filling you won’t find anywhere else. We’re particularly partial to the pulled pork in whiskey maple sauce potato and the one stuffed with Thai green curry.

Vlaming Eten & Drinken

Vlaming is a wonderful brassiere with authentic Dutch food and a funky atmosphere. The menu rotates on a regular basis, but if can get your hands on a seared rumpsteak you’re in for a real treat. The wine selection is top notch, too.

Interior Upgrades Begin Rolling Out Across United Fleet

United Airlines is in the midst of a major initiative to modernize its fleet over the next several years. After first announcing the plan in 2021, planes fitted with United’s signature interior are finally beginning to appear across the airline’s narrowbody fleet of Boeing and Airbus planes. United flyers are sure to notice these enhancements from the moment they step on board: Each new or updated plane sports remodeled seats, seatback entertainment screens for everyone, Bluetooth connectivity and more, all adding up to a better experience on every journey.
