Let’s take a look at the best Halloween 2016 costumes, inspired by this year’s most memorable moments — as 2016 has been nothing if not memorable. From Pablo Escobar and Snapchat filters to Donald Trump, Ryan Lochte, Ken Bone and Harley Quinn, the costumes this year were among the more creative.
The most popular costumes for children under 18 were action/ superheroes; princesses; animals; Batman characters; Star Wars characters; Anna, Elsa and Olaf from Frozen; zombies; and Spiderman.
The costumes for adults ages 18–34 were predictable yet original: animals, vampires, video game characters, pirates, Simone Biles, Bill Clinton, Donald Trump, Hillary Clinton, Pokémon Go trainers, Ken Bone, Starbucks rainbow drinks, fruits, Beyoncé’s lemonade, Harley Quinn, Snapchat filters — dogs and deer — and zombies.
