Desert Activities in Egypt

When you’re gearing up for a trip to Egypt, you are likely already planning to spend a fair amount of time in the desert. Luckily, there are many ways to do this in Egypt.

Perhaps the easiest and most obvious suggestion is to see the great pyramids of Giza. You can either take a tour or go to the site on your own and simply pay the admission fee. This tour company takes guests on a number of itineraries in and around Giza.

If you already planned to see the pyramids and are looking for something else, consider a hot air balloon sunrise tour. Many tours offer a number of transportation options, including camels. This is an awesome way to get to know the region and travel how people did when the pyramids were being built.

If camels don’t excite you, there are always quad tours through the desert. These tours let you see a lot of the untouched desert, and are excellent excuses to get away from civilization for a bit.
