I arrived ahead of check-in to the Santiago Marriot Hotel in Chile. Thankfully my room was ready and I had some time to relax before heading out for the day.
My corner room on the 16th floor offered stunning views of the nearby Andes Mountains. It was equipped with a king bed, spacious desk with numerous outlets and complimentary WiFi. My room came with access to the executive floor lounge. This was a perfect spot to grab a bottle of water, glass of wine or quick bite before moving onto my next activity.
I took advantage of the property’s 24-hour fitness center during my stay. In addition to cardio machines, free weights and weight machines, the fitness center has space for classes.
I enjoyed the breakfast buffet at the ground-level restaurant Café Med on the first morning of my stay. The beautiful spread included pastries, hot and cold meats, fruit, vegetables, cereal, yogurt, juice and an omelet station. The last morning of my stay, I dined at the lounge for a lighter breakfast. Popular for guests and locals, the property’s Latin Grill restaurant was a stand-out dining experience. I sampled traditional Chilean dishes with a modern twist.
The Santiago Marriott Hotel is located in Los Condes, the economic district of the city. The property is a brief car or subway ride to the cultural center of Santiago. It’s perfect for a business or leisure stay.
