Have a hard time keeping track of how many squats you’ve done, barbell reps you’ve completed and distance you’ve ran while at the gym, but don’t have a personal trainer? Have a hard time getting motivated to work out while traveling? Gymtrack aims to reshape your experience at the gym in terms of tracking, motivation and feedback with the help of connected devices.
The product consists of smart barbell attachments that scan weight plates, smart pins that detect resistance on weight stacks machines and a smart wearable that measures range of motion and speed.
“Gymtrack is built for people who want meaningful and actionable data about their workouts,” said Lee Silverstone, co-CEO, Gymtrack. “We built Gymtrack out of a personal need.”
This smart technology makes monitoring performance and progress much easier, as users don’t have to manually enter data after completing a workout. The device offers simple visual snapshots and access to metrics such as tempo, range of motion, heart rate and time under tension.
The mobile app is convenient for those working out by themselves with a library of structured workout plans and auditory feedback. While working up a sweat, the app tells users which exercises to do next and how to complete them.
Gymtrack is available for pre-order now online.
