Under $100: Cornwall, England

Cornwall is where the land meets the sea. It’s a beautiful area of England that doesn’t get the attention it deserves from travelers. This underrated destination has great beaches that look like pictures from an island.

You’ll want to grab a quick bite to eat at the hotel before leaving for the day. It’s easier to have more money to budget when you forgo an expensive breakfast. Hopefully, the hotel offers a free breakfast with the accommodations.

First, take a walk to the iconic Wheal Coastes mine, a UNESCO World Heritage site and enjoy. It features old engine houses and furnaces. The best part of this visit is the surrounding views. All around the site are breathtaking vistas of the beach and coastline.

Take a walk along the coast and breathe in the salt water. This walk could take up a good portion of the afternoon. It’s a long and deserted coastline, perfect for soul searching and holding conversations. After the walk go to Porthchapel Beach and take a dip in the turquoise water. The soft, white-sand beach is kept secret by the locals to keep it intact.

Another great spot to visit is Tintagel Castle, which has gorgeous ruins and is surrounded by the ocean. It gives a great backdrop to the site.

For dinner, eat at Nathan Outlaw. The restaurant has won two Michelin stars and is frequently listed as one of the best restaurants in the United Kingdom. Since the day was spent doing free events, spend however much money you wish on food.
